USE IT OR LOSE IT
2023 Kunst im Quartier, Hamburg
The fourth issue of CHIC magazine is dedicated to fashion drawings. Under the title COLLECTION, I am showing a collection of mycollection designs from the last few years.
In the fashion industry, the term "collection" is used to indicate an assortment of goods or samples. In book studies, a "collection" means the summary of several individual works by authors. In this sense, this issue of the magazine differs from the previous ones. CHIC 4 takes on the role of an archive and chronologically documents 130 fashion drawings.

Look! Revelations on Art and Fashion
2021/22 at Museum Marta, Herford
Future in Store, the title of the third CHIC issue, is borrowed from the sentence "What has the future in store for me?". It's the question of what the future holds for me. What is exciting about this formulation is the contradiction between the term “future” and the expression something “in store”, i.e. in stock.
Inventories were developed, produced and stored. Future in store means templates of the future that are ready to choose from. This CHIC issue includes a wide range of heterogeneous works that deal with the tension between fashion as the second skin and architecture as the third skin and look at it from different perspectives.

An ecumenopolis, a hypothetical, planet-wide city is drawn on the raincoats. The basic framework for the drawing is the word Image on which the facade is built.

Y2K17

CHIC Y2K17 is a time capsule - Here we are, and tomorrow? This is uncertain. But we are young. Always! And always have been - our language - our style! Year 2 kilos 17.
The second issue of the magazine picks up on how we were. How young people always are and will always be - forming an identity while hanging out with friends. Communicate through styling. The Y2K17 collection dresses a young person. Clothing not only involves the person who wears it but also has an informal meaning. My focus is on the moment when clothing grows beyond its practical use and becomes a communicator to the environment.

En Vogue is the first issue of my magazine CHIC. It deals with wearable sculpture and the intersection between art and design. I developed the pseudo-fashion magazine as a platform to deepen these shifts in context.
CHIC is published every two years as a 120-160 page magazine with a circulation of around 100-300 copies. It adopts the design form of fashion magazines and shifts my artistic work into its mode of representation. I re-stage my objects and sculptures in the magazine's photo editorials and transfer them back into real space in the form of choreographed performances. In addition, 40-50 artists place advertisements about their own work per issue.
