Halle für Kunst Lüneburg / Publikation Klasse Frances Scholz
die Klasse Frances Scholz wurde von Elisa R. Linn und Ann-Kathrin Eickhoff von der Halle für Kunst Lüneburg und den Center for Experimental Lectures zu einem Workshop und mehreren Performances nach Lüneburg eingeladen.
Die Klasse hat eine gemeinsame Publikation erstellt, welche sie innerhalb des Workshops vorstellen und diskutieren.

SS 2005
12 Studierende der Malerei-Klasse von Prof. Frances Scholz, erforschen das Unbekannte. Interdisziplinäres Projekt in Kooperation mit der Kreissparkasse Stade, das von Studierenden der Kunstwissenschaft unter der Leitung von Viola Vahrson und des Designs unter der Leitung von Prof. Ulrike Stoltz begleitet wird. Ausgehend von Eindrücken einer Exkursion in die Region um Hüll und Stade entsteht der Versuch, sich nun aus der Ferne das Fremde zu erschließen.

Fortführung des im Sommersemester 2004 begonnenen Ausstellungsprojekts, in dem Studierende der Klasse Scholz mit Studierenden der Kunstwissenschaft und dem Kommunikationsdesign eine Ausstellung konzipieren und erarbeiten, die im Frühjahr 2005 im Landkreis Stade stattfinden wird.

Workshop: Interview with a plant

Besides being used for symbolic purposes in fine arts, visualizations of plants have served to construct knowledge of nature and to establish the status of the subject as an observer of this nature, particularly in the natural sciences of the 80th and the biology of the 19th century. However, one could also write an archeology of plants, that of neutralizing borders, species and of metamorphoses: of the muttering of nature (M. Foucault) in which heterogenous voices interfere - like that of a plant being interviewed. Which fantasies can be evolved about this dialogue, and what can theoretic-scientificial fictions look like that found or follow it. It is the workshop`s concern to find out how a theoretical approach can generate visual material without one`s fulfilling a task.
