ORI:KOPI
Exhibition:15.12., 11am-4pm
The KLUB UP STORE was the stage and transshipment point for a performative survey of life with and of art. In January 2019, this took the form of a constructed micro scenario: KIOSK. In the course of sales in the store, it was not uncommon for an original to be rejected in favor of a more cost-effective reproduction / replica, which thus became increasingly important and a way of upgrading.
Invited by the Artothek Hannover, ORIKOPI focuses on the relationship between original and copy. projektKLUB provides the Artothek with original works from the participating artists by individual artworks for rental and offers exclusive copies of these works for purchase within the store.
Symposium:
14.12., 5-7pm
A symposium will take place as part of the two-day pop-up exhibition:
Who owns art? Who buys art? Why is art bought? What is the original? What makes the copy valuable? Does idealization happen through possession? What is the value of art?
Noor Mertens (KV Langenhagen) speaks with Astrid Bardenheuer (Artothek Köln), Oriane Durand (KV Dortmund), Stefan Heidenreich (author), Marion Scharmann (Van Ham auction house) and Moritz Scheper (Neuer Essener KV)
